(1) Fixed line Value Added services |
1.CLIP/ Caller Line Identification Presentation- enables to identify the person calling the number displays on your screen while the phone is ringing.
2.Call Waiting- Alerts you when a caller wants to speak to you.
3.Call Barring- Barred national & international calls to control who makes these calls using your home fixed line.
4.Abbreviated dialing- Calling abortively.
5.Don't disturb- Do Not Disturb routes all your calls to your voicemail.
6.CD/ Call Divert/call transfer-Unconditional (On No Reply and On Busy): Incoming calls are sent to another number or mobile number.
7.Fixed Hot line- Dial a number automatically when the handset is lifted. There is a five second delay before the call is made.
8.Hot line time out- Allows you to automatically call frequently dialed number each time the handset is lifted.
9.Inquiring function-Lets speak one up to five peoples talk on a single line.

| Registration: |
1. A subscriber /customer should be registered in advance to get any type of service he needs. 2. To get a service one can be registered in person at a nearby ETC office or through dialing up to the 997 call center. 3. The customer shall give his regular address: Woreda, Kebele, house number as well as his other contact address for registration. |

| (5) Criteria to be fulfilled by customers to get various telecom services of ETC |
|
1. For residential or private Telecom service request: i) For telecom services Requested with only the submission of kebele identification card : The customer shall submit authentic kebele identification card confirming to reside in that kebele where the customer requested to get the service. ii) For the customer requesting the service living in self constructed house : The customer shall submit authentic title deed issued to his/her by the concerned lawful authoritative body. The customer shall submit photocopy of authentic kebele identification card. iii) For telecom services requested with ones own property or house : The customer shall submit a document that authenticates whether the house is obtained through purchase, inheritance, and gift or in other means. The customer shall submit photocopy of authentic kebele identification card. iv) The customer who constructed her/his own residence but doesn’t have an evidence of Title Deed can get the services by submitting current payment bill of single plot of land and fulfilling one of the following requirements. The customer shall submit fixed or current assets registered by his/her name as a collateral or, The customer shall submit a guarantee of another fixed telephone , mobile telephone or internet customer of the corporation in the respective town who confirms his/her willingness in written agreement to pay the debt if the new customer fails to pay his/ her service charge on time or, The customer shall submit an individual who has a permanent job in governmental office or in a renewed private company as a grantee or, The customer shall submit an individual who possesses fixed or current assets with estimated cost of birr 15,000 as a guarantee or, The customer shall submit a guarantee form a governmental office or a renewed private company where he/she works in or, The customer shall submit 15,000 Birr of insurance evidence or, The customer shall deposit Birr 15,000 in cash as a guarantee. The customer shall submit photocopy of authentic kebele identification card.
v) A) For telecom services requested with the submission of government house contract : The customer shall submit a lawful document from the government house administration agency if the residential house is rented from the agency. The customer shall submit photocopy of authentic kebele identification card.
B) For the customer requesting the service living in an individual’s rented house: The leaser shall in person and in written form confirms his/her willingness for the installation of telecom services for the lessee who leased his/her house , and shall submit authentic evidence of ownership of the house together with his/her identification card. A written agreement made between the leaser and lessee of the house shall be submitted together with one of the following requirements.
1. The customer shall submit a fixed or current asset registered by the name of the leaser with estimated cost of birr 15,000 as a guarantee or, 2. The customer shall submit a guarantee of another fixed telephone , mobile telephone or internet customer of the corporation in the respective town who confirms his/her willingness in written agreement to pay the debt if the new customer fails to pay his/her service charge on time or, 3. The customer shall submit an individual who has a permanent job in governmental office or a renewed private company as a guarantee or, 4. The customer shall submit a guarantee from governmental office or a renewed private company where he/she works in or, 5. The customer shall submit an ownership evidence of fixed or current assets with estimated cost of birr 15,000 as a guarantee or, 6. The customer shall submit 15,000 birr of insurance evidence or, 7. The customer shall deposit birr 15,000 in cash as a guarantee. 8. The customer shall submit photocopy of authentic kebele identification card.
C) For service request submitted from business, Religious and aid organization as well as from various legalized associations for office purposes i) For fixed line telephone and internet (data) services: Authentic document that explained whether the house where the service is requested is legally possessed , or a contact agreement made with individual or private company or governmental office leasers shall be submitted, The service shall be provided with the address mentioned in the trade license or work permit or investment permit, When the service shall be requested outside the address mentioned in the trade license or work permit or investment permit , a document shall be submitted from the concerned body(especially for service transfer purposes ), When investors/merchants request the service by the name of the their newly established enterprises , the service agreement document of the corporation signed by authorized head of the applicant enterprises sealed with their original seals shall be submitted. While investors or merchants request the service by their name, they or their pertinent agents can sign the service agreement document of the corporation without seals. But when an investor or a merchant transfers her/his enterprise, the customer shall assure the service agreement document of the corporation signed by the owner or the pertinent agent sealed with the original seal of the enterprise. The applicant shall submit valid work permit or trade license or investment permit in order to obtain the requested service. The applicant shall submit valid work permit or trade license or investment permit in order to obtain the requested service. Customers shall submit photocopy of authentic kebele identification card.
D) For any telecom service request coming from governmental offices, international organizations and embassies The applicant shall submit service level agreement of ETC signed by authorized head of the organization, A delegating letter together with the copy of the identification card of the delegated person or individual who will receive, The telephone terminal if the service is CDMA-WLL shall be submitted. E) For telecom services requested with delegation i) If the applicant is an agent, the required service/services shall be clearly indicated in specific or in it’s general form in the delegation document. ii) The agent shall submit photocopy of authentication carddddd. |
