His Excellency Dr. Debrestion G/Michael, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, unveiled the 5th ICT Exhibition, Bazaar and Conference on June 06, 2012 at the Exhibition Center. The exhibition and Bazaar is being conducted with the motto of ''ICT: a Gateway for growth and transformation'' from June 06 to 10, 2012.

Dr. Debrestion said that the Ethiopian Government has made the development of ICT as one of its strategic priorities to implement the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP).

''Ethiopia is currently 81th in UN ranking on e-Government from 111th place in 2011and 4th from sub Saharan countries. We have shown a remarkable growth in ICT.'' he said.   



The exhibition and Bazaar is aimed at bringing the multi-stakeholders together to share knowledge, experiences and uphold partnership through discussing the various current side of the sector in light of promoting the position of the sector amongst the major policy makers, international bodies, investors, academia, and developmental and non developmental organization.
