Elaboration one:: If a customer requests 500,001 messages to be sent, the tariff is calculated as follows: Since 500,001 lays on category 9, n=9. there fore f9 = g9-1 + a9 -b9-1*e9 = g8 + a9 - b8*e9 = 38,812.50 + 500,001 - 500,000*0.04025 = 38,812.50+ 1* 0.04025 = 38,812.54. Thus the price of sending 500,001 bulk SMS will be 38,812.54 birr.
Elaboration Two: If a customer requests 40, 000, messages to be sent, the tariff is calculated as follows: Total Payment with VAT=3,450+40,000-25,000* 0.10925 = Birr 5,088.75
· The minimum amount of SMS that a customer can send is 4,000 but if a customer wants to send below 4,000 messages it shall pay the total payment required to send 4,000 SMS i.e., birr 552.00 including VAT.
