ethio telecom visiting team lead by Mr. Jean-michel Latute, Chief Executive Officer, together with the Women Affairs, Human Resources and External Communications  representatives held a consultative meeting with ethio telecom's North Regional Office managers and staff as well as Tigray Regional state higher officials and Enterprise customers in Mekele city from February 26 - 28, 2012
During the meeting with regional office mangers and staff, Mr. Jean-michel Latute, Chief Executive Officer presented the newly launched brand platform of the company, objectives and values of ethio telecom as well as the activities undertaken so far and the tasks to be undertaken in the future.
Meanwhile, during the consultative meeting with Tigray Region President Ato Abay Woldu and other officials of the region, Mr. Jean-michel Latute, in his introductory speech, briefed the officials about the objectives and targets of ethio telecom, the telecom value added services, causes and the impacts of the fiber cut vandalism as well as about the necessary cooperation and supports to be needed from the Regional State towards the realization of ethio telecom's mission.
Mr. Jean-michel Latute gave appropriate responses to the issues and problems raised by the President of Tigray Region and other senior officials in relation to technology transfer, mobile network, internet connection and maintenance of fixed line. On the same occasion, the Tigray Region President H.E Ato Abay Woldu appreciated the ethio telecom's service improvement in all sectors.
In addition, the Mekele city administration officials expressed their commitment to provide the necessary cooperation and support.
Meanwhile, the visiting team together with the ethio telecom regional office managers held meeting with the Enterprise customers. On the occasion, Mr. Jean Michel Latute, as an introductory remark, briefly expressed about the mission, objectives and the targets of ethio telecom as well as explained about the services to be provided to Enterprise customers and the SIM price discount reduction made recently. The Enterprise customers on their part expressed about the internet interruption, mobile network failure and recharging problems.
On the occasion, the ethio telecom team visited ethio telecom technical sites at Mekele city.
